My son asked me the strangest question one morning.Ā He asked, " mommy are you a slave?" So at first I had to stop ask him do I look like a slaveš Right now it is like 5 am in the morning LOL. So he laugh and I replied to him, you know son I just woke up and I'm not old enough to be a slaveš¤£. So im thinking to myself again girl you better get you blinged out bonnet cause baby Ant is not feeling that head scarf right lol. finally he laughs and says okay. At that moment thats when the Holy Spirit began to speak to me letting me to tell him that sometimes we as people put ourselves in slavery because we have a slavery mentality. So you ask yourself what do you mean by slavery mentality? Have you ever been broke, homeless, unemployed, divorce, unhappy, broken, abused in relationship or depressed? Well that was your slavery but when you came out of that situation when you were able to find a job start a savings account started checking account start a new life and find peace, you were supposed to let go of being in bondage or slavery. That was your past but it is not your present and it most certainly should not be your future. When God sent Moses to pharaoh and told him that it was time to let his people go and the children of Israel left in route to the promised land they were so happy that they were free. The problem was that they quickly Resorted back to what they knew which was a slavery mentality and didn't have faith that if God brought them out of Egypt delivering them from the hands of pharaoh that he would get them to the promised land. We have to be the same way and know that whatever our Egypt is that God made a promise to each of us that he will never leave us he will never forsake us and that he only wants the best for us his promise is that he comes that we might have life and have it more abundantly so why should we live with a slavery mentality what God has already given us the promise? This was so clear to me that in such a critical time in our lives we must maintain our faith and not just say it but have radical faith believing everything is possible. The kind of faith that causes mountains to move and chains the brake. That kind of faith is a kind of Faith that will take you directly into the front gate of the Promised Land.Ā
